Stuart Little's dad is named Frederick Little in the original book by E.B. White. He is described as a mild-mannered man who works as a publisher and is very devoted to his family. He fosters Stuart's independence, encouraging him to explore the world on his own and make his own decisions. In the movie adaptations of the book, Frederick Little is portrayed as a caring and supportive father who is always looking out for his son's best interests. He is played by Hugh Laurie in the 1999 movie and by Geena Davis in the 2002 sequel.
